Privacy

What we store

• Your account. Your name, email address and password. Your password is stored scrambled (hashed), so nobody can read it.
• Your profile. A job title, a phone number and a contact email, if you add them.
• Project details. Client and company names, project titles and notes, shoot dates and times, shoot addresses, comments, and links to finished work.
• Quotes and invoices. Only the people who need to see an amount can see it.
• On-site details for a shoot day. A contact name, a phone number and access notes, such as a gate code. Only the people working that shoot can see them. They are deleted automatically 14 days after the shoot.
• Sign-in records. A short record of sign-in attempts, kept in scrambled form, so we can block password guessing. Deleted after 90 days.

Who can see it

What you see depends on your role. Clients see their own projects. Crew see the shoots they work on. Agencies see the projects tagged to them. Studio admins see the whole studio.

We do not sell your information and we do not use it for advertising.

Cookies

We use only the cookies needed to keep you signed in and to remember which workspace you used last. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

Email

We email you about activity on your projects, such as a schedule change or a new quote. These emails never include prices, phone numbers, gate codes, private notes or the text of comments.

Google Calendar (optional)

Crew can connect a Google account. If you do, we ask for permission to create and manage events in a separate calendar that Metive makes for you, and to see your Google email address so we can show which account is connected. We cannot read your other calendars or events.

The events show the client, project, address and time. They never show phone numbers, gate codes, prices or private notes. You can disconnect in Settings, which deletes that calendar and ends our access, or in your Google Account permissions.

Metive’s use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. We use that information only to keep your shoot calendar up to date. We do not share it or use it for advertising.

Calendar link (optional)

Studio staff can make a private link to a calendar of their own shoot days. Anyone who has the link can see those days, so keep it private. Making a new link switches the old one off.

Services that help us run this

• Supabase, for the database and sign-in.
• Vercel, for hosting.
• Resend, for sending email.
• Cloudflare Turnstile, to tell people from bots at sign-in.
• Sentry, for error reports, when it is switched on. Personal details are removed before a report is sent.

They handle information only to run the service for us.

Links to other sites

Finished work and drafts are shared as links to other sites, such as video review and file hosting services. We do not host those files. Each site has its own privacy policy.

Keeping and deleting

We keep your account and project history while the studio uses the service. You can change your name, phone number and contact email in Settings. To correct or delete anything else, ask the studio. Some project and billing records may be kept where the studio needs them for its business or for the law.

If we change this page, the date at the top changes too.
